During the day Ethereum grew with the rest of the market, but by the evening accelerated the movement on the background of news about ETF from BlackRock
The Ethereum (ETH) exchange rate rose more than 5% over the day and is trading above the $2,000 mark at the time of publication of this article, paired with the Tether USD (USDT) stablecoin on the Binance cryptocurrency exchange.
During the day, the price of the second most capitalized cryptocurrency was growing on the back of appreciating bitcoin and the rest of the market, but by the evening accelerated the movement due to reports of a possible application for Ethereum-ETF from the investment company BlackRock. Eric Balchunas, an ETF market analyst at Bloomberg, confirmed the news.
In August, crypto asset manager Valkyrie said it had converted its bitcoin futures ETF into a fund that also invests in Ethereum futures. The conversion makes the fund the first ETF to invest in both BTC and ETH futures contracts.
